十年前的一天，我坐在英國(guó)卡迪夫海邊一個(gè)小酒館二層靠窗的小餐桌前，要了一杯啤酒一份牛排，透過(guò)寬闊的玻璃窗，眺望大海，胸臆如洗。琢磨著把剛才海邊看到的一塊鑄刻在鋼板上的小詩(shī)翻譯成中文，遙想著這個(gè)威爾士小城在大航海三個(gè)海上貿(mào)易繁忙時(shí)代的變遷，心中頓時(shí)升起蒼茫的歷史感。該詩(shī)所用的“頭韻”形式，也很典型、有趣。最近發(fā)現(xiàn)此譯詩(shī)在網(wǎng)上多處被轉(zhuǎn)載引用，現(xiàn)特轉(zhuǎn)錄于此。（黃國(guó)營(yíng)補(bǔ)記）</p><p Masefield（1878-1967）之手，被鑄在卡迪夫港灣鋼板上，記住早期工業(yè)時(shí)代港灣那段輝煌的歷史。</p><p> 詩(shī)篇通過(guò)對(duì)不同時(shí)代三艘海船的描寫(xiě)，真實(shí)具體地反映了資本主義原始積累中的掠奪性貿(mào)易。</p><p> 不清楚把詩(shī)行鑄在港灣鋼板上的時(shí)候，當(dāng)?shù)氐娜藗兪钦凑醋韵玻€是心懷愧疚。歷史就是歷史，沒(méi)有好壞對(duì)錯(cuò)，所有褒貶都只是后來(lái)不同處境的認(rèn)知者的感受而已。歷史就是曾經(jīng)發(fā)生過(guò)的事實(shí)，它已經(jīng)發(fā)生，不得不如此，任何假設(shè)都是愚蠢的想當(dāng)然。</p><p> 俄菲一一傳說(shuō)中東方生產(chǎn)黃金與寶石的地方。</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>頭韻</b></p><p><br></p><p>英文原詩(shī)使用了“頭韻”（Alliteration）來(lái)增強(qiáng)作品感染力，這種韻律形式和漢語(yǔ)詩(shī)歌的傳統(tǒng)押韻方式很不一樣。</p><p><br></p><p>英語(yǔ)“頭韻”的運(yùn)用有點(diǎn)兒像漢語(yǔ)里面的雙聲。但漢語(yǔ)的雙聲詞是指兩個(gè)音節(jié)聲母相同的雙音節(jié)詞，如“輝煌，慷慨，陸離，秋千，猶豫，蜘蛛，斟酌，枇杷，流連，蟾蜍，玲瓏，吩咐，含糊，輾轉(zhuǎn)”，屬于構(gòu)詞性的，雙聲詞不能拆開(kāi)，否則沒(méi)有意義。</p><p><br></p><p>英語(yǔ)的頭韻則是詩(shī)歌中出現(xiàn)在鄰近的兩個(gè)（或更多）詞之間，起首的輔音相同，造成前后呼應(yīng)的節(jié)奏和諧。如:</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Line1
